The Malandrino Family

The true soul of Villa Carlotta is undoubtedly its patron, Mauro Malandrino, who inherited a deep passion for hospitality from his father, Giorgio Malandrino. This shared passion led to the creation of today's estate.

In the late 1950s, Giorgio Malandrino emerged as a rising star in Sicilian pastry-making, becoming a point of reference for both Ragusan community and countless visitors. It was his visionary idea, in the 1960s, to launch one of the first catering services in the region: a groundbreaking innovation for its time.

Villa Carlotta was founded around 1972, starting with a dedicated entertainment hall nicknamed “318”, which soon grew to host over 400 weddings per year.

Today, Mauro Malandrino proudly continues the legacy, combining expertise, warmth, and direct human connection with each guest to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience.

With a four-star boutique hotel and La Fenice, a Michelin-starred restaurant, the Malandrino family looks to the future with vision and ambition, making Villa Carlotta a true symbol of elegance, hospitality, and well-being in Ragusa.
